Domain trade

Escrow.com

Every sale over $2K

Licensed escrow for domain transfers — how every sale above a couple of thousand closes safely.

Pricing
Roughly 3.25% of the sale for domains, with a minimum fee; lower on large transactions.
Best for
Any private domain sale where you and the buyer have no history.

Why I use it

Domain sales are a stranger sending money for something they can't inspect. Escrow.com holds the funds, I push the domain, the buyer confirms, then the money releases. Nobody has to trust anybody.

How I use it

  • Every private sale above roughly $2,000.
  • Agreeing the fee split up front — usually buyer pays, sometimes 50/50.
  • Keeping the whole transfer record in one place for accounting.

What to watch

Only ever use escrow.com typed directly into the browser. Fake escrow sites are the most common domain scam there is.

What works

  • + Licensed and regulated, not a handshake
  • + Standard domain transfer flow both sides know
  • + Removes chargeback risk entirely

What doesn’t

  • − Fees add up on smaller sales
  • − Verification can slow a first transaction
  • − Heavily impersonated — check the URL every time
